Well-groomed fairways and greens keep the course difficult yet friendly, and the staff can offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. Lake Bess Golf Club is a terrific choice for your regular rounds of golf or a new destination for you and friends when visiting Winter Haven. Nestled amidst an abundance of majestic trees, the course measures 2217 yards from the longest tees, features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels, and is par 35. We do have some sets of clubs available for you to rent.

PGA Jr. League
Lake Bess Golf Club in Winter Haven, FL, hosts PGA Jr. League programs for ages 13U and 17U, led by PGA Coach Gregory K. Coffin, PGA. The program focuses on fun, team-based scramble format matches and is part of Peak Performance Golf’s offerings. The 2026 13U league typically runs from May through August, welcoming various skill levels.
The course is in really good shape. Busy but moving along at a good pace of play. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our round very much. Watch out for hole 7!
